Join me for a stunning circular walk from Balcombe, through peaceful woodland, along the sparkling waters of Ardingly Reservoir, and down into the Ouse Valley, where the awe-inspiring Ouse Valley Viaduct awaits.
This route is pure Sussex magic—think open meadows, quiet trails, and the kind of views that stops you in your tracks. The viaduct alone is worth the trip, with its 37 majestic arches towering above the valley like something out of a dream.
It’s the perfect 9 mile circular walk from Balcombe via the Ardingly Reservoir and the Ouse Valley Viaduct.
Please bring a packed lunch. The cafe and toilets may be open at Ardingly Reservoir where we will be stopping for lunch.
Travel: Take the 9.39 from London Bridge to Balcombe (9.53 East Croydon), arrives Balcombe 10.20.
