The route takes us through Tusmore Park with its gold topped monument celebrating the Queen's jubilee and views of the old and new manor houses. During the afternoon we will walk through the more modest Shelswell Park where there are mature trees in a parkland setting.
We will walk past Cottisford Pond and Shelswell Pond and visit the attractive Oxfordshire villages of Cottisford, Hardwick, Fringford and Newton Purcell.
There will be a lunchtime stop at the Butcher's Arms in Fringford where the lunch menu includes sandwiches and soup etc.
The pub is next to the village green where you can sit and eat a packed lunch if you don't want to use the pub facilities.
