We are the Bolton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from the picturesque village of Barley, climb past Ogden reservoirs and up Ogden Clough to the summit of Pendle Hill before returning to Barley
The route up is a steady climb, rarely steep, on a quiet well defined path, which can be a bit wet, muddy and rocky in places. On a clear day there are great views from the summit, so bring a packed lunch for a picnic here. The route down is a wide path which is rocky underfoot and steep in some places. Depending upon ground conditions we may come back down the route up, an extra mile but much less steep. After the walk there are a number of places in Barley for refreshments.
Outside The Cabin café which is next to the car park, £3.00 for the day, payable by cash or card. There are toilets here. My phone has no dignal in the car park. The Cabin café is open from 10.00am.
