We are the West Midlands 40+Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This relatively short walk provides a surprisingly countryside experience on good paths between Wombourne and west Birmingham. We start by walking to and around the Penn Common Golf course and make our way across fields to the Country Park via Gospel End. The Baggeridge Miniature Railway run on Sundays, there's a Café and toilet facilities. We return via the toposcope (Unfortunately now vandalised by thieves for the copper plate)and Baggeridge wood. Then across fields in a circular route to bring us back to the start point. Mostly flat, bring packed lunch.

Start Point: Parking on a service road off Segley Road. Nearest post code WV4 5LA. Directions: Heading South down Segley road from Upper Penn. Pass Cotsdale Road on the Right and then just after a road called 'Turf Cottages' and a small white sign saying Penn Common on the left there is a service road to the right. Park there.
