Penwortham and the River Ribble

Starting from the Sports Club car park on Factory Lane we follow a clockwise route around Kingsfold and Penwortham passing through Howick Cross to reach the River Ribble. Heading up the river we pay a visit to St Mary's Church and the site of the Norman Castle then pass Hurst Grange Park before crossing the river at the Old Penwortham Bridge. After entering Avenham Park we cross the old railway bridge to return to Factory Lane.
