Starting from Smeardon Down Car Park at Peter Tavy, we will head straight up onto the open moors stopping off at a few tors along the way. We'll go out as far as Limsboro and Lynch Tor before heading back around to Bagga Tor. Some great views from the tors in this area including of Tavy Cleave and surrounding area. From here, we'll head down to the River Tavy where we will follow the Mine leat through the woods and back to Cupdliptown. From there we will roughly follow the river back into Peter Tavy then back up Colly Brook to the start point.
Car sharing is advised on this walk as the car park is quite small, although other spaces are available along the lane.
I have listed this as strenuous as there will be some decent climbs and we will need to set a reasonable pace to get around allowing for shorter daylight hours. Walk is in the region of 12 miles but have the option to alter this slightly on the day depending on conditions.
As usual, some of us will be eating afterwards. Location to be determined.
