We are the Southwold (Yate) Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

An historically interesting and easy walk along field paths and lanes. Follows the bank of the Severn Estuary and passes through the outskirts of Caldicot and Portskewett towns.
There is one very marshy lane and field, so walking boots or wellingtons advised. (Even in summer)
Parking at Black Rock Picnic site at the end of Black Rock Road, Portskewett. Take the A48 road South of Chepstow towards Newport. After about 3 miles turn left at roundabout onto B4245 Caldicot road then take the next left marked Portskewett, which is only a few yards after exiting the roundabout. Follow this road for about 2 miles and turn left into Black Rock Road. The picnic site is at the very end of this road. Meet up at 10.00 for a 10.15 start.
