A linear walk to Great Missenden Station led by Thomas G (Mobile No: 07775 676092 - day of walk only). Some autumn colours… Sloping fields, beech woods and hamlets, upmarket farms and upgraded cottages. Two short, steep hills (with fine views). Loosley Row, Chiltern Way to Lily Bank Farm, along Monkton Wood and College Plantation to Speen, via Denner Farm to Bryant's Bottom (lunch stop at ‘The Gate Inn’ or bring picnic - after 5.8 miles), New House Farm, Peterley Wood Farm, Atkins Wood, Angling Spring Wood, Gt Missenden High Street. Tea (while waiting for the train): plenty of cafés and pubs in Great Missenden. Net walking time 4½ hours. Joint walk with Kensington Chelsea & Westminster Group. Map: E172/181, L165.
