Overview

An unusual but pleasant, circular walk starting at Purton, walking along the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal alongside the 'ship's graveyard', through Sharpness Docks and over the hill back to Purton with spectacular views of the Severn.

It's largely flat.

We'll start at the small, free public car park in Purton. There are further spaces on the approach road. As it's Saturday and summertime, the parking may be busy - please allow time to park.
