Catch the train from Skegness, Wainfleet, Boston, Heckington or Sleaford to Ancaster .
Our route follows public footpaths and quiet lanes with fine views across the Ancaster Valley, South Rauceby, the River Slea, to finish at Sleaford station and discover the site of Sleaford castle.
This is a linear walk, we take the train out and walk back, we do not return to Ancaster.

Bring a packed lunch and drink. Wear suitable clothing & footwear.
The walk is free but train fares apply. Booking is not required.
Train depart: Skegness 1015, Wainfleet 1024, Boston 1049, Heckington 1104, SLEAFORD 1113 to arrive at ANCASTER 1122. (connecting trains depart Lincoln 1033, Metheringham 1045, Ruskington 1054 to arrive Sleaford 1102 OR depart Peterborough 0936, Spalding 0956 to arrive Sleaford 1017.)
