A varied walk of 5.9 miles and 225 metres of ascent and descent. The walk consists of a mixture of tracks, paths through farmland, heather moorland and wooded valleys, plus a short stretch of a farm road. There are no stiles and there are good views of the Cleveland Hills throughout.
The walk leaves the Lord Stones Car Park and passes Thwaites House and Staindale Farm on the way to Raisdale Mill. After a short walk along the lane, we then follow the north eastern branch of Raisdale, before following a track up to meet the farm road up to Cold Moor Cote. We follow the track to meet the Cleveland Way, before skirting around the northern side of Cringle Moor back to the car park.
Refreshments will be taken afterwards in Lord Stones Cafe.
