Meet at The Minster Church at the top of The Butts, nearest post code RG1 2LQ. What3Words fade.strut.teach. This walk explores some of Readings lesser known waterways, up the Kennet to Fobney & Southcote Locks, following The Holy Brook & the old Calcot branch railway & back to the town centre. The walk is mostly flat. One or two stretches may be muddy after rain. Generally flat & firm underfoot. There is the chance of a shortcut reducing to 5.5 miles. A Green Walk no car needed.
