The leader has had to cancel this walk but is hoping to re-schedule it within the next couple of months.
We are the Kendal Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Mostly stepped path, scrambling ascent. Option to divert to Kilnshaw Chimney with loose scree and steep scrambling. Care necessary not to dislodge rock in Chimney so good proficiency and prior experience of similar terrain required. All meeting at Red Screes summit to descend Scandale Pass via Sweden Bridge to Ambleside for coffee, cake and bus home.
Public transport is advised to reach the start of this walk. Bus 508, either from Kendal Bus Station at 9.05am or Ings at 9.15am. There are buses every half hour from Ambleside back to Ings and Kendal.

Kendal Leisure Centre. Any cars left here for the duration of the walk must display a Parking Permit in the windscreen. This can be bought from Reception for £2.00. Car sharing cost to Ings bus stop will be £8.10 including the driver and all passengers
