We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people aged in their 40s, 50s & 60s who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.
We start this walk from The Chequers Pub on St Albans Road by crossing the busy A5183 and following the River Ver, stopping off at the Redbournbury watermill and then picking up the Ver Colne Valley walk. We cross back over the A5183 heading to Hogg End Farm on route we see St Albans Abbey in the distance. From here we pass through open countryside on our way to the Nickey Line which takes us back to the Chequers Pub for refreshments.
