We are the East Hertfordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is the second but shorter walk to remember Chris Pagan.
Chris was a founding member of East Herts Ramblers in 1981. He was also Area Footpath Secretary for Ramblers. He worked to improve paths and access to walking in Hertfordshire and has left a wonderful legacy of paths we can all enjoy.
He loved all of Hertfordshire and its rolling views but he particularly loved the view from the hill running from Standon Lordship to Latchford.
A bench has been placed here so that others can enjoy the view and remember someone who did so much for all walkers in Hertfordshire.
We will be stopping at the bench on the way back for a lunch break. Please bring your own refreshments so you can enjoy this lovely spot with us.
There is an associated 7.5 mile walk starting at 10 am. This walk is 3.2 miles in total, with Chris's bench and lunch stop about a leisurely 1 hour 15 minutes from the start. The aim is to be at the bench the same time as the longer walk, about 1230.

We will meet in front of St. Mary’s Church. Please park considerately in the local area.
