This is a moderate walk of 1539ft total ascent and -1504ft total descent.  From the car park we walk through Rainow to Sugar Lane and then through fields to the lower path along Kerridge Ridge.  Near the end of the ridge, we take a sharp right and walk up onto the top of the ridge.  We pass the trig point and finally end up at the monument of White Nancy where we can have a short break, so please bring a drink and a snack.  From here we walk down to Kerridge where we cross the fields to a lane and then join a track which takes you down to the Macclesfield Canal.  A walk along the canal to steep steps just before the aqueduct then its along the main road through Bollington.  The final stretch is along Ingersley Road to Oakenbank Lane where we turn right and return to the Robin Hood which will then be open for hot and cold meals.
