Overview

Leader - Phyllis Wallace

In memory of Roger Roberts we will follow one of his splendid walks. At this time of year, it passes a wonderful display of snowdrops. We will stop for lunch at the Sorrel Horse, Barnham and raise a glass to his memory. Those not wishing to stay for the afternoon walk can return to cars parked at a short distance (6/7 mins) from the pub.

Park at the bottom of Pesthouse Lane, Claydon. We walk part of the Gipping River, till we pass under the A14 through Shrubland park towards Coddenham. Passing the Jacobean Hemingstone Hall, then back through Shrubland Park to the pub. The afternoon walk passes through Claydon and the Barnham fishing lakes.

Morning 6.5 miles, 10.4 kms, afternoon 4 miles, 6.4kms
