Overview

The walk begins at the Sun Inn in Romsley. We will follow field paths, quiet lanes, woodland tracks and possibly a dismantled railway line in this rolling part of north Worcestershire. Given recent weather conditions it may well be muddy and wet underfoot in parts. There a few gentle ascents rewarded by views to the Clent Hills and Frankley Beeches. We will pass over the Lapal Canal tunnel and the pipeline bringing water from mid Wales to Birmingham. We will pass the site of medieval fishponds linked to the 13th C. Abbey of St.Mary - now in ruins.
