Roseberry Topping Pre Christmas - Festive Fayre - Mince pies and Mulled Wine - It's almost becoming a Tradition. Parking at Great Ayton village Green in Vicininity of Royal Oak PH -Approx 5.5ml round trip - Rye Hill then up to Roseberry Common Before turning to assail The Peak - no denying it is a bit of a climb up - Total ascent 959ft for the whole walk. Will partake of Christmas Fayre ( dont forget to bring some) once the summit reached This wont be the sermon on the mount - not feeding the 5000 - before returning to the village via a dogleg through Cliffe ridge Wood - Have classed walk as Moderate - however anyone that has a issue with steep climbs take note.
Open Vistas hopefully - Very weather dependent so prepare for Wet and Windy - and hopefully be disappointed. Decent footware essential. - Inappropriate clothing / footware will result in being refused - never pleasant.
