Directions (primarily for our members or anyone approaching via the A38 northbound).

The start is located between Alrewas and Swadlincote. You can get through via the lanes from Alrewas but slightly less hassle to approach via the A38 and Walton-upon-Trent from where Rosliston Forestry Centre is signposted.

Depending on your location pick up the A38 northbound at or via Alrewas and continue from there for 3 miles to Barton Turn flyover where exit slip left onto the B5016 then left again at the island to cross over the A38 to reach another island where straight on, all three junctions signed for Walton-upon-Trent, and all in quick succession.

One mile later cross the bailey bridge into Walton and turn left at the T-junction, then immediately right into Coton Road, both junctions now signed for Rosliston Forestry Centre. Follow the course of this road for 2 miles to a T-junction where turn left and continue for 0.45 mile until the main entrance to Rosliston Forestry Centre appears on your right, signed as such.

Follow the road through and park near the visitor centre.
