Overview

Join this circular walk on tracks and quiet lanes through unfamiliar valleys and up on to the the drier parts of the moor, finishing on the shoulder of Showery Tor to watch the spectacular starling murmuration over Roughtor Plantation.

Sturdy boots essential.  Bring lunch and a drink. The starlings have been appearing here reliably for a couple of months and we saw them on Feb 10th.  Standing on the moor to watch them can be chilly so have extra layers with you.

Poor weather will result in this walk being rescheduled.
