We are the South West Sussex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We leave East Dean and head north through the woods to the SDW at Tegleaze. We then turn east on the SDW, follow the track for about a mile then descend to Graffham. From Graffham we cross meadows to Heyshott and join the New Lipchis Way to ascend back up Heyshott Down. This hill is seriously steep. At the top we have lunch, then descend through the woods back to East Dean.
There are some chalky paths on the descent and ascent over the South Downs.
Parking is at East Dean village hall or on the road beside it. We can use the car park if the hall is free, indicated by a red sign at the entrance.
