We are the One Step Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Commencing from the Old Station Car Park in Rowsley, our journey will lead us to the Chatsworth Christmas Market, situated beside the iconic Chatsworth House. During our visit, we will indulge in an extended lunch break, affording ample time to explore the market and perhaps engage in some festive shopping. Should you desire a change from sandwiches, there will be a variety of hot food stalls available.
This presents a unique opportunity to partake in this annual event at no cost. To provide some context, should you opt to drive and park independently, the parking fee would be a considerable £17, with even higher rates on the weekends.
A quick update regarding parking: We are thrilled to have many participants joining us, but it's worth noting that the local workforce also uses the car park. Consequently, it might reach its capacity. In such an event, please be prepared for us to guide you an additional 500 yards down the A6 to Church Lane, located next to the traffic lights, where you can safely park your vehicle. If this occurs, kindly refrain from walking back to the original car park; instead, wait on Church Lane. Rest assured, we will collect you as we pass by, as it conveniently lies along our route.
