We will start the walk from Three Locks Car Park, walk along the canal and through the woodlands where you may catch a tree looking at you with big eyes. We then head towards Rushmere Country Park where we will be welcomed by a Giant sequoia; a species that, when fully grown, has become the largest living tree on our planet. We will be stopping for lunch at the park and if you are lucky you may spot a heron from the deck.
After lunch we will walk through the sculpture trail and head towards the Three Locks and back to the car park with an option to stop for a drink at The Three Locks pub.
It is free to park at the Three Locks Car Park. We will be walking in a single file for sometime along the canal which can be busy with cyclists. There are some inclines on this walk. Refreshments are available at Rushmere Country Park but advise bringing a packed lunch / snack in case of long queues. There are also toilet facilities at the country park.
