We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This is a circular walk starting from the layby outside the Korean War Memorial car park (closed in the evenings). We will visit the Korean War Memorial before ascending to reach a medieval Refuge Stone & the more recent Witchcraig Wall from which there are great far-reaching views. The walk then continues through the southern woodland edge of Beecraigs Country Park & upon leaving the woodland ascends up Cockleroy Hill. Again, there are magnificent views from the summit which we will enjoy before descending the hill & returning through woodland & along tracks to return to the start point.
Spaces are limited to 20 people so it is essential that you book a place with the leader prior to the day of the walk.
The walk is on surfaced & hillside & woodland tracks, which can be muddy after rain so walking boots are recommended & a walking pole if you wish.
For car share meet at Livingston North Railway Station car park (Glasgow side) at 6.25 pm.
Layby outside the Scottish Korean War Memorial Car Park at 6.45pm (Note - car park closes at 6.30pm so please park in the layby even if the gates are not locked)
