Overview

We start at Staunton Harold and walk through the lovely nature reserve of Dimminsdale Wood, known for its spectacular display of snowdrops. The walk takes us through the parkland of Calke  Abbey estate, we follow the old horse-drawn tramway trail and return to Staunton Harold country estate.

The woods are likely to  be muddy and steeper slopes be slippy.  Walking poles would be useful. The Tramway path is usually good underfoot but after heavy rainfall  can cause puddles.
