We are the Alton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start at Selborne Recreation Ground and take a route past Sotherington Farm and on to Rhode Farm. We then take the Writers' Way back towards Selborne Church and head out to walk along the lower path of Selborne Hanger.
We finish with a loop touching the lower path of Noar Hill before making our way back to the Recreation Ground.
Bring a drink and a snack.
There are some gentle slopes and some stiles. Some areas may be muddy. Please wear sturdy footwear.
Oakgreen Parade Car Park, Four Marks. Behind the BP Petrol Station on A31 in Four Marks. Leader will be at meeting point.
Selborne Recreation Ground From Alton, drive along the B3006 into Selborne and past the Shops and Pub. Turn left at the Ketchers Cottages sign. The sign is diagonally opposite the Selborne Well Head. (If you get to the lay-by you have gone too far.) The recreation ground is up the drive on your left.
