Overview

A walk back in time taking in the Cotswold escarpment by walking over and around it. Expect to see autumnal tree colours in Pen and Stanley Woods, pass Nympsfield Long Barrow chambered tomb before reaching the hilltop of Coaley Peak offering splendid views (on a good day) across Gloucestershire to the Forest of Dean and Welsh mountains.

Lunch will be at the midway point around the perimeter of Uley Bury, Cotswold's most impressive and well-preserved hillfort dating back to about 300 BC.
