Overview

10 AM Walk starting at Savernake forest south of Malborough. off the A346 up the hill  (Tesco/garages on the left). turn left at the top of the hill, follow signs to postern hill campsite. Take the right fork through the gate and park. do not park at the campsite. Walk through Sevanacke forest past ancient oak trees to the monument to King George III.  Along Kennet and Avon canal to Wooton rivers for a pub stop at the 16th century royal Oak thatched pub. Then through fields back to Savernake forest and back to the carpark.
