A moorland walk of around 11 miles from Shipley Bridge, taking in Corringdon Ball Gate, Three Barrows, lunch at Redlake and return via the Avon clapper bridge, part of the Abbots Way and Avon Dam. A few moderate to steep climbs in the morning, one steep descent after lunch to the Avon clapper. Wet and boggy in places.
This is a strenuous walk at a good pace. On a clear day, many fabulous views, including Plymouth sound and breakwater from Redlake.
There is a pay car park, £4 Coins recommended as phone signal is poor.
