Overview

Join us for a 10 miles circular walk through Shipley Country Park between Ilkeston and Heanor. Starting at Straw's Bridge car park near Kirk Hallam we will follow the Nutbrook Trail to the old woodland on Shipley Hill which usually has amazing carpets of snowdrops. We will then meander back via Cinder Hill, Mapperley Reservoir and Pond, and Pewit Carr LNR.

Straw's Bridge car park is free but has no facilities. However, there are two tea rooms and toilets in the park. Almost all trails are surfaced with only few possibly muddy spots. There won't be any stiles nor livestock.

Straw's Bridge car park at the A609 near Kirk Hallam, High Lane East. It is a rather muddy car park with lots of potholes but it's free.
