We are the Thurrock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A Walk from Shoeburyness Station to Leigh on Sea, through the old barracks and Gunnersbury Park, then along the sea front through Southend. Lunch at Southend with plenty of choices of pubs, tea rooms etc. Plenty of opportunities to cut the walk short if needed.
Meet at the front of Leigh on Sea Station SS9 2ET. (Plenty of parking behind station, fee payable). Meet at 10.00 to catch 10.07 train to Shoeburyness OR at Shoeburyness Station at 10.15. If parking in station car park, DO NOT pay the boot fair parking but pay at machine as the boot fair parking finishes at 2pm. ALSO NOTE that C2C HAS A REPLACEMENT BUS SERVICE SO NO TRAINS FROM GRAYS AND SLH TO PITSEA
