We are the Lower Wye Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts along the railway trackbed through the beautiful woodlands that clothe the steep western slopes of the Sirhowy Valley, then climbs up a track and out onto the open high ground of Mynydd y Grug. This return leg has superb views over the adjacent valleys, before a track takes the route back down through woodland to the start.

From M4 junction 28 take the A467 north, signposted to Brynmawr. After 6 miles bear left at a roundabout, following signs to Sirhowy Valley Country Park and Waste Transfer Station. Park 500 yards beyond the roundabout, by the toilets.
