We are the South Dorset Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Please note EARLY START. The walk is a mixture of field, ridges, farms and hamlets. There is one short but sharp climb up to the Ridge near Portesham, but it can be tackled at an angle! There will be views of the sea if the weather is kind and there is bound to be mud in places. The pace will be as brisk as conditions and walkers allow. The early start is because the leader has an event to go to so needs to finish by 3pm!!
Picnic, no dogs.
The walk will start at the Swannery Car Park. There is no charge at this carpark, although it belongs to the Swannery. In my experience it can be used in the off season. I have attempted to contact the owners to seek official permission and/or offer payment but have been unable to make contact.
