A rectangular walk, very flat terrain.

Walking mainly on footpaths (Viking Way), pavements in the villages and some road walking with wide verges.

3 stiles, no livestock on prewalk so dogs on leads are fine.

Some points of interest, Fenland landscape, painted church in Southrey, 15th century church in Bardney and the remains of Tupholme Abbey (12th century)

Start and finishing point is by the River Witham at the far end of Southrey village, just passed the Riverside Inn by the old railway station. OS Explorer 273 ref 139663. You can get to Southrey from Bardney reached either via Nocton and Potterhanworth or from Wragby. From Bardney centre take the B1190 Horncastle Road and then first right signed Southrey (but pointing in the wrong direction!) Allow 50 mins from Newark/Collingham.
