Overview

This walk takes us to the eastern side of Heartwood forest and the Community Orchard, using the Hertfordshire Way to Symonds Hyde Great wood. Here we leave the national trail and use paths and tracks to Oaklands College and out to Tyttenhanger. Heading to Alban way and the disused railway before following the chalk stream of the River Ver into The Verulamium.
