We are the Linlithgow Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Meeting in Melrose, we’ll catch the bus to St Boswells, (17min journey) and walk down to the river Tweed near Benrig, then across the Mertoun bridge and onto Dryburgh (very pretty spot). Back across the Tweed and through Newtown St Boswells and Bowden to cross over the Eildon saddle (Opportunity to go up one or two of the Eildon hills here or sit and enjoy the view) and down into Melrose. A mix of paths and good tracks with a wee bit of quiet roads. Some paths will be muddy. Aim to catch 09.24 bus from Melrose. Finish walk about 2.30pm nearer 3.30pm if we do either or both the North and Mid Eildon.
