Severnside Ramblers are an active, friendly bunch and always keen to welcome new walkers and visitors. Join us on a Friday Amble or a longer walk on a Sunday.
A level walk following the England and Somerset Coast Path with extensive views over Bridgwater Bay. Then along part of the River Parrett Trail through the Steart Marshes Wildfowl and Wetland Trust reserve.
The mudflats and coastal waters are protected within the Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve.
There are areas of marshland to explore after the walk if you wish so bring binoculars. Hopefully there will be interesting birds to see.

WWT Steart Marshes Car Park, Steart Drove, Bridgwater TA5 2PU. Gridref ST251 442. WWT suggest a parking donation of £3. Car park has toilets. Some messy road works around Bridgwater. Note - it is possible that at the right turn from Withycombe Hill onto Stert Drove the road will be closed. If so continue along Withycombe Hill and take the next right turn signed to Stockland and Steart. Continue through Stockland Village and take the left turn onto Stert Drove towards Steart and Steart Marshes, where the road bends sharply round to the right. The WWT carpark is along Stert Drove on the left.
