Overview

From Chilton Village hall we head over to Harwell Science park and on to Hungerford road (an ancient track) which we follow to Milton Hill then Steventon Hill site of Truckfest where we could get some views over the Oxfordshire countryside. We then descend quite steeply into Steventon after a brief walk around the village we join the Causeway. Following this for its almost mile length passing some ancient listed buildings and the old priory to St Michaels and all Angels church. We head over fields to then walk up to the picturesque village of East Hendred before taking the track out and up to Shadwells Row where we walk round the back of Harwell science park and along the Bridle path back to Chilton. There are a couple of long inclines and one steep rough but short descent there may still be some residual lying water in areas.
