We are the South West Sussex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
There is very little mud on this walk. Taking advantage of the firmer bridleways and tarmac lanes, we make our way out of Stansted Park down to Walderton. Then we climb up onto Walderton Down, skirting around the edge of Kingley Vale before descending into Stoughton. The final legs take us over Watergate Hangar back onto the Stansted Estate. There are fine views for our coffee and lunch stops.
The walk is hilly but we will take ups and downs at a comfortable pace. Poles are useful this time of year if you have them. There are no stiles, just keep walking! The walk ends outside Stansted garden centre, so opportunities for cafe, toilets and shopping!
Starting at the car park for Stansted - please use the section on the right hand side as you drive into the car parking area, not in front of the garden centre.
