Overview

The route will follow the North woods, the Bollin Valley Way, lunch at Morley Green. Return by footpaths and Styal South woods, a break at Quarry Bank mill for toilets and refreshments. Due to the closing of Giant's Castle Bridge in Styal North woods. We will divert along the old Altrincham Road from Styal Village and then down to the woods. Walk continues over the main road on the Bollin Valley Way, then back over into the North Woods and up to the Mill.

Some busy roads to cross, tree roots, mud. Possibility of cattle, so sorry, no dogs

Most of walking will be on quiet lanes, and woodland and field paths. Mostly relatively flat, no hills, but the odd short short steep slope.

Toilets and refreshments at the mill near the end of the walk.

Styal Railway Station. Piccadilly Station for the 10.06 train to Styal arr 10.44. Ample free parking at Quarry Bank Mill, the station is not far away, across the main road.
