We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk takes us north towards Bentworth via Wivelrod. We then head to our most northerly point, Mayhew Wood before turning south via Upper Wield and head back west to Medstead via Hattingley.
It is a lovely walk using farm tracks, link roads through rolling countryside, woodland and hillside with open views across the Hampshire countryside.
The walk does include stiles and walking poles are advised.
We start from the car park near the Green on Roe Down Road. Grid Reference SU658369. / OS Explorer Map Winchester 132, nearest Post Code GU34 5PJ.

Directions: From Winchester, take the B3330 and join Alresford Road to Four Marks. In Four Marks take a left turn, Lymington Bottom Road, join Town Road to the High Street, Medstead onto Roe Down Road, parking is on the right, facing the Green
