Overview

Join Glasgow Young Walkers on a Sunday stroll to the Loch of the Lowes Reserve followed by a short walk around Dunkeld.

The Loch of the Lowes Reserve is owned by the Scottish Wildlife Trust and covers 130 hectares including woodland, freshwater loch and the visitor centre and hides. You can find further information on the flora and fauna in the reserve on https://scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/reserve/loch-of-the-lowes/. The plan is to follow partially the Walkhighlands route, but we will start the walk from the Dunkeld and Birnam train station. We will hopefully also spend some time in the hides in the reserve (bring your cameras and binoculars, the ospreys should be back and nesting by then :) ). The entrance fee to the reserve is £4.50.
