This 5 mile linear walk takes us along the river Kennet into Newbury.

For the third walk in our 'Sunday Stroll' series we're taking an afternoon stroll along the river Kennet. We start our walk in Thatcham and head west along the Kennet and Avon canal past the Thatcham reed beds and the Nature Discovery Centre and into Newbury. We finish our walk today at Newbury Station.

By public transport
From Reading take the 12:43 train arriving in Thatcham at 13:01.
By car
Parking at the station, charges apply. If travelling by car you will need to take the train back to Thatcham after the walk (this will likely be the 15:48 train).
