Saturday 5th August – Surprising Stockwell (circular walk) Meet at 10.30am outside Stockwell Station (Victoria and Northern lines) to discover a world of elegant Victorian villas and fascinating history in one of London’s lesser-known districts. Unlock the secret of the strange circular structure near the station, learn about the James Bond logo and see the memorial to a real-life heroine of WWII. We shall discover artists, the original Albert Square, and see the building which was the subject of a lecture at the Royal Academy by local author Will Self. Toilets and refreshments.
