Overview

We intend to commence the walk by 11:00 (anyone not using the facilities should arrive by 10:50). From Oaks Park, we will follow the Countryside Walk through Woodcote with a slight detour for lunch at the Woodman, before returning to Oaks Park. 4 stiles right at the end.

We have now decided to take a more pleasant and direct route from Woodcote to The Woodman lunch stop which means the walk will be shorter – just under 4.5 miles in total.  There could be some mud along the way!

Anyone using public transport to and from Oaks Park could also use the S4 bus (from Sutton and Wallington) alighting at the junction of The Warren and Woodmansterne Road.  It’s a slightly shorter walk than from Carshalton Beeches Station (about 20 minutes).  However, you would need your wits about you as this section of the route is ‘hail and ride’, so you have to know when to ring the bell to get the bus to stop!

Please text to 07709 085835 by mid-day Tuesday 4th February if you want a pub lunch.
