We are the Solihull Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A ten mile walk around Sutton Park. Expect varied vegetation with some autumn colour and some history. We will be walking on mainly good paths, tracks and some roads. There may be a little mud but aminly good underfoot and no stiles.
Limited toilets - just two at visitor centre near start. No refreshment places so bring lunch. Plenty of parking but Sutton Coldfield station is ten minute walk from the start of the walk. The start time of 10.15 is more convenient for those wishing to use the train. Also the visitor centre, where there are toilets, does not open until 10. Town Gate cafe may also be open for those who want a coffee before the start.
If you would like to car share, we are meeting at Lady Byron Lane, Knowle (Old Warwick Road) Solihull B93 9AG (near J5 of the M42) for a departure time of 9:15 am. Lifts are subject to availability. This is a round trip of approx. 35 miles and a voluntary donation of £6 is considered to be a reasonable contribution towards the costs incurred by the driver.
