Most of the walk is G 2, although there is a steep climb on uneven ground after our morning stop, which is definitely G 3, and we cross a small stream on uneven rocks.
At the start, we descend through woodland and very soon visit the desirable residence known as King Arthur's Cave. Continuing steeply downhill, we meet the river Wye, and walk along the bank to Biblins bridge. The campsite there has a public toilet. After crossing Biblins suspension bridge we will have our morning stop. We then head steeply uphill on an uneven track, along the side of Lady wood, where we spotted more deer tracks than you could shake a stick at, of course, no actual deer !
Then, after visiting the Suck Stone, we retrace our tracks slightly and head downhill through woodland , crossing a stream, before heading back uphill for our lunch stop. A flat, wide track takes us to Yat Rock, with incredible views from both sides. Descending for the last time through High Meadow Woods, we again meet the river, and head back to Biblins bridge. There is a steady, long climb back to the car park from here, on a wide private road.
Bring poles if you use them and suitable clothing, sunscreen etc.
