Overview

From “Teggs Nose Country Park” Car Park, we head North along the Gritstone Trail, crossing Buxton New Road and descending into Gulshaw Hollow and back up to New Buildings Farm.

Still on the Gritstone trail we pass through Brookhouse and down to the foot of Tower Hill where we start to ascend, making our way to the top of Kerridge Hill, taking the path along the Saddle of Kerridge to White Nancy.

From the monument we descend through the woods into Bollington and on to the  Canal where we follow the towpath back to Macclesfield leaving at bridge 40 and heading up Broadcar road and Teggs Nose Lane to Teggs Nose where we take the path back to the car park.

Packed lunch is required, the walk is dog friendly. There are numerous pubs along the way and time permitting we may be able to stop for a pint in one.
