Overview

This walk starts at 11am Sutton Hill Hub on the Hill Local Centre. We go down to Blists Hill to follow the T50 Trail  anti clockwise (9 miles) to converge on at 3pm at the Town Park to meet other walkers starting from points north, east and west Telford.  You have a choice of distances to walk from 2, 3, 5.5, 7 to 9 miles. A walk full of scenic, history and heritage interest, walking through four Local Nature Reserves and parts of The Silkin Way on the route. We end by joining other walkers by the T50 sign at about 3 pm near the Town Park Visitor/ Information Centre where free light refreshments and congratulations will be available. Please bring a packed lunch if walking the whole way.  For people wanting shorter walks we will pick-up other walkers at the Golden Ball, Ironbridge TF8 7BA 7 at 11:45am, bring packed lunch (7 miles walk), Woodside Bus Shelter on T50 TF7 5QB 12:40 (5.5 miles), Dawley Pools Car Park TF4 3HS 13:30pm  (3.5 miles), Aqueduct - Castlefields Way/Gittens Drive Junction TF4 3SD 13:35pm (3 miles) and  Madeley- Far end of Court Street TF7 5EE on the T50 14:00pm  (2 miles) Arrive Town Park 15:00 for  light refreshments. Alan G and Anne S will be leading this joint Ramblers/Friends of the Telford T50 50 Mile Trail walk as part of our contribution to Telford & Wrekin Council's Telford Walk Week, offering a choice of long and short local walks all over the Local Authority on the final day of that week. Non members, dogs on leads, families, accompanied children, are all welcome to come along. NB there is a FREE BUS back to  Madeley and Blists Hill, if pre-booked from The T50 website https://www.telfordt5050miletrail.org.uk/eventsandsales. Please register you will be at a named pick up point so we know to expect you and can be alerted to any unexpected delays. NB only assistance dogs are permitted on the minibus. However, there are regular bus services between Telford Town Centre and Sutton Hill on Sundays on the No 4 bus.
